I don't understand why it seems that it is incumbent upon Indian cinema to preach. The last time I checked, cinema, regardless of its ethnicity, is meant to entertain and for its art to be appreciated. And Animal does just that. It's true that if you're expecting a run-of-the-mill Bollywood movie where the "hero" is larger than life, and the "heroine" must sound and look like a "Bollywood heroine", and the "villains" are born villain, then yea, this movie is not for you. This movie is rather about an ordinary man with an extraordinary grade of affection and adoration towards his father. And just like any of us, he's got some issues too. It's a pure family-vendetta action drama. As a filmmaker, is it so blasphemous to be inclusive and narrate a story with characters portraying actual human shades? For all that talk of misogyny and feminism, did we fail to notice how realistically and maturely Rasmika's and Ranbir's relationship has been portrayed? Can't we appreciate the fact that the movie has used music to bring out the art and fervour of not just emotional scenes but also the action scenes? How refreshing of an idea is that! And finally, Bobby Deol. I never knew the guy had so much talent in him. He doesn't have a word of dialogue in the movie, and yet, he hits the ball out of the park with his angelic-demon expressions. Kudos, to Sandeep Reddy Vanga for having the bold chutzpah to choose to make a movie that speaks the truth that all humans do have grey shades, rather than play safe and rake in the moolah.
The movie is just poorly directed. The storytelling could have been so much better. The movie is too long. Violence, action, and cheesy scenes doesn't make a bad movie good. A lot of violent movies have been made, but never one which is so badly directed.
Watched the movie loved it just that song placement was weird but amazing experience
The movie is the best Indian movie I have ever seen , a must for all Indians who have some brains and passion .. Brainless and cowards wonโt like the movie
MOVIE IS SHIT!!!! KUCH TRIGER NAHI HUA
Is sandeep a hindi director??๐ ๐
The only reviewer I trust blindly is jammy, you are a great soul brother
In my opinion it was weak iin storytelling because the villian's motive was so bleak and weak… just like in Dhoom 3… it made no sense to hate the bank because it wanted its money back from a bankruptcy circus owner.. and Ranbir's character getting away with 'going to hostel instead of getting arrested if not sent to prison after the initial fiasco was the worst part. The whole movie was if you father has a steel factory you can get away with anything. Not one law enforcement officer seen in the whole movie given the number of murders. That's what irked me.. not the violence or the misogyny
Ranbir is animal not god..movie name is animal not gandhi…people should relax…
Disappointing, u r reviewing the scenes of the movies, i have just watched animal, this is just a below average movie from a below average director, even bad story, bad editing, bad direction, overacting from the lead hero, only few scenes are good , otherwise it's a very bad movie
How to destroy biased Leftist movie lobby in a single blow:
1. Be a confident Right Winger
2. Keep the antagonist (Masculine + Nationalist)
3. Choose violence
4. Make world class movie
5. Call them illiterate
6. Assert Dominance
I haven't seen the film, but from the trailer itself I felt "Too much testosterone!"
My only issues are that there is too little screen time for Bobby and he appears too late in the movie.
I watched this movie today. It's a masterpiece. We are not here to teach morality to film directors. Bollywood should learn how to direct movies from this guy.
it's a movie with a kind of storytelling , those who taking it seriously as a reality , pls get a life
This movie is basically violence porn ๐ …he knows Indian audience.Violence is NOT its problem the CRINGE is
Toxic masculinity is hardly related to feminism. Toxic masculinity relies more on a man and his own ability to live a fulfilling life without being forever caged by the societal expectations of hyper-masculinity. Do you think having traumas related to childhood, family or especially one's own father and being extremely insecure to the point that you have to hurt yourself or others is bravery? Such characters deserve our sympathy, but never a clean slate or admiration from society for their actions. They need to be held responsible too. Plus, a healthy man who lives in the society will be a balanced individual who can think and make logical decisions. Romanticising mental illness among men and their angst as true masculinity is a cancer in our society that will lead to creation of man-child and celebration of these behaviours as people in the theatre will emulate them and blow whistles to celebrate these problematic behaviours
tbh vanga just cheapened the movie by including those after interval scenes which added nothing to the overall story. Those scenes felt like they just wanted to provoke a reaction out of the audience. The bra strap scene, the lick my boots scene, ranbir's character telling his children that their mom is jobless.. like wtf was the use of sprinkling these scenes which add nothing to the storyline and make the movie rather vulgar… The weakest part of the movie for me!!
Let's leave all the toxicity aside. But this movie is a downright shit. Why? Because there is not a single scene which was captivating. Even the violence from Ranvijay's side was mediocre. The only part of the movie I liked was Abrar. Damn , bobby deol nailed it.
Please ๐๐ผ DONโT GIVEAWAY THE STORY. I had to mute you, and stopped looking at the screen. Why the heck you are telling the whole story here???????
Worst movie ever
Honestly, this movie doesn't have a solid storyline.
