On the theme of mental health – my friends and I were curious about how laughing affects the brain. I know on a podcast with Joe Rogan, you mentioned that dopamine is released as a neural chemical energy. We were wondering why laughter can be such a key thing in friendships and relationships too.
Injecting "right" into the dialog over and over must be a tough habit to break, this conversation is worth enduring it.
sarà anche bravissimo questo Paul Conti, ho ascoltato già un altro video, ma la sua voce e intonazione pietistica e implorante e rassegnata, è davvero insopportabile
Dr. Huberman (though I suspect you'd tell me to call you Andrew) just plain thank you so much.
Since your series with Andy Galpin (which I studied and implemented successfully) I've been wondering why a similar framework can't apply to mental health.
Your and Dr. Conti's answer? Of course it can.
Assess your strengths and weaknesses, prioritize goals, make a plan, and follow through. So simple. It's so simple, in fact, that NONE of my 16 therapists ever did such a thing in 30 years of therapy. Damn!
Thank you for just making so much sense.
I guess that's part of the beauty of science you keep wanting to share: Clarity.
That and the power of knowledge to unleash people's potential — or generative drive — the true source of happiness. I doubt any factor drives human harmony or conflict more than this. You're touching on the root of all conflict in the world.
If there was a Nobel Prize for science communication, I'd nominate YOU. Not joking.
Modern day prophet
@andrew huberman Apologies in advance, is there some sort of shorter set of instructions or something similar use the "Pillars of Mental Health", I'm watching and re-watching all 4 episodes, trying to take notes as much as possible, but I'm having a hard time trying to not get distracted by all the stories in between the actual information. Thank you for this tool!
when I listen to these podcasts I am immediately in awe of the genius behind the design of humans and life. I cannot exclude God from the reasoning for this except if I hate the idea of accountability to Him
Jordan Peterson look alike?
🙏🙏🙏 thank you, Doctors!
What are the 10 cupboards? Could you please name them?
We are social beings. We need supportive community.
This series can be positively life changing.
Where is the pdf?
Love the highlight of resentment and taking anger out on self vs having an outlet or passion for it to transform🤬
I am so relegiously watching this series I could give an exam on these "Lectures"
why is health not free and everywhere you need a abo?
Andrew I adore you but the way you fluctuate your voice is hard to listen to. If you could work on just speaking naturally we would all be able to relate to that better❤❤❤
Wow this was absolutely brilliant
Another terrific episode of this series. Thank you!
Thank you so much dr. Andrew Huberman! People like you and dr. Paul Conti make the world more beautiful ! And, of course, my days richer!❤
