But we are always forgotten. "How to get the coworkers to spend as much time together" can be the reason for quitting. You had me until you brought up calories and lost credibility(the human body is Not a bomb barometer, we run on Hormones, we are biological beings, you can’t calculate us in physics terms lol), and the exercise factor of losing weight. No Sir, you cannot outrun a Bad Diet, exercising alone after getting back into a bad diet will not save you in the long run. And that Biggest Loser didn’t go back to eating their former bad diet either, so of course the exercise helps along the way. My husband lost 80lbs just because I changed his diet, he did Nothing different in terms of physical activity. He got up in the morning as normal, went to work, came home and played video games lol. From here on out, building muscle will help him to survive in the long run but if he starts eating badly again, his blood pressure will go back up and he will gain the weight back (we’ve been at this for years, together for 23 so we’ve been through it all with regards to his weight issues). I do agree with the importance of exercise when the body allows it, ei. a 400lbs person should Not be running until they lose the weight or they’ll be at risk for fracturing bones and dislocating joints and how do they lose the weight? Proper diet. Strength training is great if you’re severely overweight but avoid impact exercises until it’s safe for your body to do so. Seriously, anyone watching this should probably go on further to do their own research and not take one guy’s word for it.
Hi Steven – you'll never read this but…I had plantar faciitis a couple of years ago, simply from wearing flat (female) shoes. Had incredible pain for a year in both feet before I decided to find out what was causing it. Went to a podiatrist who gave me a list of exercises to do, but she wasn't confident they would work. Within one week all the pain was gone and hasn't returned. This was 8 years ago when I was 57 – amazing. You shouldn't need the inserts.

Plantar fasciitis has to do with a very tight gastrocnemius muscle of the lower leg. Go see a good acupuncturist!

No matter what research comes out, sleeping demand is genetic. Some people can't be functional if they get less than 10 hours, some people 6 hours. Follow genetic and listen to your body. Don't look for any generalized ideas

I may not NEED 8 hours sleep but I want it , I love getting 8 hours sleep, I think people can differ on their sleep needs. Years ago when taking Anatomy and Physiology we learned that what builds bone is the the tendons pull on bone and stimulates bone growth. Obviously it would also apply to muscles and the only way to build both is by weight resistance.
Steven, regarding plantar fasciatis: maybe try vibration therapy, specifically tiptoe exercise – google up vibration therapeutic; they have research and no bells, whistles and hype equipment.
@thediaryofaceo I’ve experienced serious foot pain which doctors are old me was plantar fasciitis. I’ve tried customized orthotics but they were effectively worthless. Comparatively cheap “walk-fit” inserts outperformed the customized ones by far. More importantly, I recently saw a physical therapist, after taking doctor-prescribed shots in my feet and even trying acupuncture. What I learned in 10 minutes was literally a game changer. Apparently, as an athlete, my much larger calf and Achilles muscles were overpowering the plantar fascia, causing my arches to collapse. Neither the inserts nor the needles did anything to prevent that. Minutes after using a 20-30 dollar foot exerciser (Elgin Archexerciser, Original #005-FED1, professional Foot Exerciser) the pain in my feet went from a 10 to a 5. Then I used the “Prostretch” which I later found and bought (inexpensively) on Amazon, but is also apparently(?) available at http://www.medi-dyne.com. The two of them combined have improved my quality of life, and they will likely improve yours. This is definitely not a paid advertisement or a bot. I wouldn’t wish severe foot pain on anyone, and to know that all I had to do was exercise and stretch my feet with these two inexpensive contraptions makes me want to spread the word, in case that it can help. Love.

Do these things if you want to never get sick, never get depressed, never go to hospitals, and have a long lifespan:

2 Totally avoid fast food, junk food, and all (il)legal drugs, including coffee, tobacco, and alcohol.
3 Exercise moderately three or four times a week, fast once a week from 24 to 38 hours, sleep from eight to 10 hours a day, laugh a lot, have awesome orgasms, and above all love a lot. 💕☮🌎🌌

In the name of Allah the most Gracious the most merciful
عَمَّ يَتَسَاءَلُونَ(1)
78:1 What are they asking (one another)?
عَنِ النَّبَإِ الْعَظِيمِ(2)
78:2 About the great news, (i.e. Islamic Monotheism, the Quran, which Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) brought and the Day of Resurrection, etc.),
الَّذِي هُمْ فِيهِ مُخْتَلِفُونَ(3)
78:3 About which they are in disagreement.
كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ(4)
78:4 Nay, they will come to know!
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَيَعْلَمُونَ(5)
78:5 Nay, again, they will come to know!
أَلَمْ نَجْعَلِ الْأَرْضَ مِهَادًا(6)
78:6 Have We not made the earth as a bed,
وَالْجِبَالَ أَوْتَادًا(7)
78:7 And the mountains as pegs?
وَخَلَقْنَاكُمْ أَزْوَاجًا(8)
78:8 And We have created you in pairs (male and female, tall and short, good and bad, etc.).
وَجَعَلْنَا نَوْمَكُمْ سُبَاتًا(9)
78:9 And have made your sleep as a thing for rest.
وَجَعَلْنَا اللَّيْلَ لِبَاسًا(10)
78:10 And have made the night as a covering (through its darkness),
وَجَعَلْنَا النَّهَارَ مَعَاشًا(11)
78:11 And have made the day for livelihood.
وَبَنَيْنَا فَوْقَكُمْ سَبْعًا شِدَادًا(12)
78:12 And We have built above you seven strong (heavens),
وَجَعَلْنَا سِرَاجًا وَهَّاجًا(13)
78:13 And have made (therein) a shinning lamp (sun).
وَأَنزَلْنَا مِنَ الْمُعْصِرَاتِ مَاءً ثَجَّاجًا(14)
78:14 And have sent down from the rainy clouds abundant water.
لِّنُخْرِجَ بِهِ حَبًّا وَنَبَاتًا(15)
78:15 That We may produce therewith corn and vegetations,
وَجَنَّاتٍ أَلْفَافًا(16)
78:16 And gardens of thick growth.
إِنَّ يَوْمَ الْفَصْلِ كَانَ مِيقَاتًا(17)
78:17 Verily, the Day of Decision is a fixed time,
يَوْمَ يُنفَخُ فِي الصُّورِ فَتَأْتُونَ أَفْوَاجًا(18)
78:18 The Day when the Trumpet will be blown, and you shall come forth in crowds (groups);
وَفُتِحَتِ السَّمَاءُ فَكَانَتْ أَبْوَابًا(19)
78:19 And the heaven shall be opened, and it will become as gates,
وَسُيِّرَتِ الْجِبَالُ فَكَانَتْ سَرَابًا(20)
78:20 And the mountains shall be moved away from their places and they will be as if they were a mirage.
إِنَّ جَهَنَّمَ كَانَتْ مِرْصَادًا(21)
78:21 Truly, Hell is a place of ambush,
لِّلطَّاغِينَ مَآبًا(22)
78:22 A dwelling place for the Taghun (those who transgress the boundry limits set by Allah like polytheists, disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, hyprocrites, sinners, criminals, etc.),
لَّابِثِينَ فِيهَا أَحْقَابًا(23)
78:23 They will abide therein for ages,
لَّا يَذُوقُونَ فِيهَا بَرْدًا وَلَا شَرَابًا(24)
78:24 Nothing cool shall they taste therein, nor any drink.
إِلَّا حَمِيمًا وَغَسَّاقًا(25)
78:25 Except boiling water, and dirty wound discharges.
جَزَاءً وِفَاقًا(26)
78:26 An exact recompense (according to their evil crimes).
إِنَّهُمْ كَانُوا لَا يَرْجُونَ حِسَابًا(27)
78:27 For verily, they used not to look for a reckoning.
وَكَذَّبُوا بِآيَاتِنَا كِذَّابًا(28)
78:28 But they belied Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, and that which Our Prophet (Peace be upon him) brought) completely.
وَكُلَّ شَيْءٍ أَحْصَيْنَاهُ كِتَابًا(29)
78:29 And all things We have recorded in a Book.
فَذُوقُوا فَلَن نَّزِيدَكُمْ إِلَّا عَذَابًا(30)
78:30 So taste you (the results of your evil actions); no increase shall We give you, except in torment.
إِنَّ لِلْمُتَّقِينَ مَفَازًا(31)
78:31 Verily, for the Muttaqun, there will be a success (Paradise);
حَدَائِقَ وَأَعْنَابًا(32)
78:32 Gardens and grapeyards;
وَكَوَاعِبَ أَتْرَابًا(33)
78:33 And young full-breasted (mature) maidens of equal age;
وَكَأْسًا دِهَاقًا(34)
78:34 And a full cup (of wine).
لَّا يَسْمَعُونَ فِيهَا لَغْوًا وَلَا كِذَّابًا(35)
78:35 No Laghw (dirty, false, evil talk) shall they hear therein, nor lying;
جَزَاءً مِّن رَّبِّكَ عَطَاءً حِسَابًا(36)
78:36 A reward from your Lord, an ample calculated gift (according to the best of their good deeds).
رَّبِّ السَّمَاوَاتِ وَالْأَرْضِ وَمَا بَيْنَهُمَا الرَّحْمَٰنِ ۖ لَا يَمْلِكُونَ مِنْهُ خِطَابًا(37)
78:37 (From) the Lord of the heavens and the earth, and whatsoever is in between them, the Most Beneficent, none can dare to speak with Him (on the Day of Resurrection except after His Leave).
يَوْمَ يَقُومُ الرُّوحُ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ صَفًّا ۖ لَّا يَتَكَلَّمُونَ إِلَّا مَنْ أَذِنَ لَهُ الرَّحْمَٰنُ وَقَالَ صَوَابًا(38)
78:38 The Day that Ar-Ruh [Jibrael (Gabriel) or another angel] and the angels will stand forth in rows, none shall speak except him whom the Most Beneficent (Allah) allows, and he will speak what is right.
ذَٰلِكَ الْيَوْمُ الْحَقُّ ۖ فَمَن شَاءَ اتَّخَذَ إِلَىٰ رَبِّهِ مَآبًا(39)
78:39 That is without doubt the True Day, so, whosoever wills, let him seek a place with (or a way to) His Lord (by obeying Him in this worldly life)!
إِنَّا أَنذَرْنَاكُمْ عَذَابًا قَرِيبًا يَوْمَ يَنظُرُ الْمَرْءُ مَا قَدَّمَتْ يَدَاهُ وَيَقُولُ الْكَافِرُ يَا لَيْتَنِي كُنتُ تُرَابًا(40)
78:40 Verily, We have warned you of a near torment, the Day when man will see that (the deeds) which his hands have sent forth, and the disbeliever will say: "Woe to me! Would that I were dust!"
Exercise is essential and wonderful for our health and more – BUT how much better outcome if we don't take it to extremes (adding on miles that like those that one of the commentators says they don't enjoy), and use some of those hours instead organizing to get carcinogenic substances out of production (in addition to our "self improvement" personal health goals)! We can combine being active in the sense of moving around, with some activities that attempt to change the widespread amount of carcinogenic exposure – addressing things that are known to cause cancer that so many people have seemed to become complacent about and resigned to!
While there are many wonderful reminders in this video, spreading the message that personal exercise is enough to make cancer [entirely] "preventable" I am sorry to complain is actually irresponsible! {Yes exercise is part of what is needed, but much more socially responsible activity is also needed!!}
{How many nuclear plants were around spewing radioactive substances into our air and water in Dr. L.'s idealized "paleo, hunter=gatherer" haydays?? How many cancerous substance used in industrial production? How many cancer-causing chemicals used to save money in production and add convenience or commercial appeal — even put into vitamins…. ?? Running as if pretending we are hunting antelopes, may have many benefits, but we shouldn't kid ourselves about what healthy life requires. {Please. Meanwhile, Wear well-fitting shoes, look where you're going, don't trip – not even on invisible windmills, consider running with a buddy or at least finding a way to call for help when you need it, let's work out, or go for a walk after frustrating meetings, or elections — But we can't run away from all our problems! }
Retirement is a terrible idea. Sure. I wore out my knees, hips, feet, and back doing a physical job for 50 years. So I should just go and take up running???? Oh, right. This is ridiculous.
It’s a time factor. I’d love to do 2-3 gym classes a day…but work that’s needed to pay bills gets in the way. Most jobs start at 8 AM. My favorite gym classes start at 8.30 AM. So I try to book my work from 11 AM. But most don’t have this luxury and yes I take an income hit.
You DO need 8 hours of sleep. Read the book "Why we sleep" and don't destroy your health.

Here I am in Sweden and curious about the Exercise Hour at the Björn Borg company. Im wondering what type of stuff they do during that hour. People have such varied abilities. For instance, after a knee injury I simply can’t run anymore or do deep crouching. Sure if some has not had any injuries then one can do just about any movements. Frankly I think an Exercise Hour should ideally occur every day, not just on Fridays. When I have a chance I go to gym every morning and just feel awesome.
I taught myself to gradually strengthen my foot after having special insoles. Somehow I realized it was not good to have too much cushion indefinitely. Interesting.
I had a foot injury but my Mom had plantars faciitiis and they told her not to go barefoot. We have high arches but going barefoot a little bit strengthens things
Muscles look healthy. Women want someone healthy that they don’t have to take care of as they age. Women end up frequently taking care of their old men.
My husband has double hip replacement. He’s not supposed to run or jump or pound the pavement so we walk and ski and used to ice skating before Covid. We’re back to skiing now. All those gliding low impact things.
Ancient man was on dirt not concrete. That makes a difference. Or pavement.
