Poem: Child Love
By Dr. Archan Mehta
I’ve spent my
Life loving you:
Singing to you
In a tender voice
Basic lullabies
And tales from antiquity,
Reminiscent of Snow White
And the Seven Dwarves,
Cinderella,
And Little Crimson Driving Hood.
I’ve stuffed your
Bathtub-tub with bubbles,
My expensive, and provided you
A rubber ducky
To see you smile.
I’ve wandered
Throughout this earth
Looking for presents
Which you will maintain expensive
Like I maintain you
Pricey in my coronary heart.
I can’t bear the
Considered you
Rising up and leaving
Me alone on this huge home,
With solely reminiscences of you.
As an alternative,
Keep younger without end
So I can fill this void
With you for firm
Everlastingly,
Child, please make
Me really feel complete once more.
