His deadpan delivery of a joke about NJ makes him seem like a serial killer too.
Ok so I get it. You are not a believer of psychics. Myself, I lean on the agnostic side rather than atheist.
I quite agree with your perspective on this case.
The problem with being psychic is that it’s only right sometimes. Not very reliable.
Hate to relate to a murderer, but chewing noises are particularly aversive, especially potato chips. Just saying. 🤷♀️
This dude looks like Eric Harris jr. Acts like him too.
The reason that Alex did not share his motive was because he didn’t know what his motive was … This is most important point made in this video (IMHO) and I wish the entire world could hear it (not just for this case, but for so many other cases). It’s something so many people don’t understand- that often murderers do not themselves know why they killed.
When the victims’ families want to know why, I think it would be incredibly invaluable, if someone (police, etc.) told them:
“The killer doesn’t know why he did it, so we can’t answer that question. You will never have that closure. I am so very sorry.”
This man hates New Jersey…. I get it 😌
I bet he was on meds when he committed that crime, “treatment” for his rage issues.
Is there anything more wrong with NJ that what's wrong with your whole entire persona, your appearance and you profiting off of other's misfortune?
Why is a motive important? No "motives" are needed for anything. If it feels good or right, folks will do it. At least in the Western world.
Hey lay off the jersey jokes
I think it was jealousy that made him kill.
His poor father.. what a good person, he did what so many would not have done even if they knew their child was a murdering monster.
That poor sister 🙁 oh my god
Such a waste of 4 precious lives.
Why captus
Before the video even starts I will state my opinion that Kreider is a Sociopath and I will also suggest he committed the crime just because he felt like it. I'm sure there's a history to be found of mutilated animals or some form of abuse on helpless children he knew before his big crime. One thing for sure, he didn't "begin" his disturbing behaviour with murder. This is my opinion based solely on the title of the video and without any knowledge of the case since I've stated in previous videos I spent years studying behavioural science.
Pause at 11:04, this is why I said sociopath, the distinct lack of empathy. I suspected this immediately when the title of the video stated, no motive given, no remorse either except for what he considers his own suffering. What concerns me about our society today is that a distinct lack of personal responsibility seems to be almost promoted, not that I'm suggesting one creates a sociopath but I'm not eliminating nurture as a cause, it may well be but nature can certainly do the job nurture doesn't in my opinion. Consider a mob mentality or mass psychosis, like what you find during the NAZI regime in Germany where people do horrible things they otherwise wouldn't have done, even after the fog clears or cleared in that case, many still refused to take any personal responsibility, always shifting blame event they did recognize what they did was wrong, at least in most cases and to be clear I'm talking about the average person not the manipulators at the top. For me I use the term sociopath over psychopath because psychopaths can actually suffer delusions and even hallucinations whereas Sociopaths have no such affliction, just a lack of empathy. That lack of empathy can be caused in a mass psychosis situation or mob mentality, if you will, and that is nurture not nature. In so far as a psychotic diagnosis having actual hallucinations, I remember one case I read in a book called "Alone With The Devil' by Ronald Markham, M.D. and since I read that book over twenty years ago, I can't recall, off the top of my head the name of the offender but I do recall it was in fact about his child and it was particularly disturbing. Frankly the fact that the brutal murders of Alec's best friend and parents didn't affect his grades or his demeanor would have my radar going off if I was an investigating officer. An average teenager would have some "disturbance" over these sorts of events if they occurred in their lives and even though Alec responded as one might expect when he was "informed" of the murders, it's no surprise given the ability to manipulate people that a sociopath has, look how he manipulated his own father and for that matter, his entire family. I was right before I watched this about the earlier abusive activities, I guess I was wrong about the "harming small animals" though. It's been a long while since I've listened to any case files, years actually, there's only so much one can take and the last one just broke me.
I'm still stuck on the term psychopath versus sociopath and I'm not sure I'd call him or classify Alec as sadistic, yes he committed murder and to everyone that is sadistic in and of itself however and fortunately, he didn't have the chance to become more sophisticated. Had he the opportunity, sadistic traits may have shown themselves but I don't see sadistic traits insofar as crime classification goes in these murders. The murdering itself was his motivation and his modus operandi can't really be established, had he needed to do something in particular to satisfy his desires that caused unnecessary pain and suffering rather then just end the lives of his victims I would agree to a sadistic classification. Take Son of Sam, for example, many had troubles understanding why he was a sexual predator when his modus operandi was just walking up and shooting people parked in cars and then walking away, with no obvious sexual activity taking place but point in fact it was the murder itself that aroused Berkowitz, to which he later confessed he revisited the sites and manually did his thing. Likewise for a sadistic killer, it isn't the killing that they need or desire, it's the torture, the pain they cause and the fear they see that motivates them. It's possible, as I said, we may have seen this if he had become more sophisticated and thankfully he did not have that opportunity, it could have been simply that it was his first time and he just wasn't comfortable lingering. I have no doubt his modus operandi would have evolved over time. In so far as depressed or feeling empty, well who hasn't felt that way at one time or another, especially teenagers, I'm not ready to eliminate any of that from plain old manipulation. It could easily be, as stated, he thought by saying these things he'd get out of prison early and by suggesting suicide to a so called friend he had the opportunity to gain the notoriety many of these offenders seek. The whole suicide call sounds like a manipulation and why wouldn't he feel like he'd play everyone, he had already gotten away with all his other manipulations, so, rewarded behaviour is repeated and the stakes go up. I think the actual suicide was at the point he really did truly feel sorry for himself after being put in a cage for the rest of his life had sunk in, I'm still surprised he actually did it.
His motive was like many before him, power, domination and control over others, given his lack of empathy for others it's a good thing he wasn't sophisticated enough to continue, I have no doubt he would have continued to offend and he would have become more sophisticated over time. I don't believe he felt hopeless or felt he had nothing to lose because when it became apparent that he had "nothing to lose in reality" it was in prison and even still surprisingly he actually killed himself. No one kills people because they have nothing to lose, they kill because they have a desire to kill, beyond that maybe enjoy the pain and suffering they cause, which would make him sadistic as well, I can't be sure of that with just the one case as he didn't display any signs or attempt to prolong or make suffering worse then necessary to achieve the kill. There is the case of coming back to the mother but without further information that could easily just be an oversight or mistake, it's likely he thought she was already dead and something indicated to him that she wasn't like a moan or something. I don't think he made a single cry for help, I believe it was all manipulation to get recognition or notoriety and like many before the hardest thing about getting with the crime is that you can't tell anyone and they desire to prove themselves superior to others. Once he realized his mistake, that no one was going to judge him mentally unfit, I'm sure he suffered a range of emotions for himself and at others but not empathy for anyone or any remorse for what he did. I also think he would have killed his own family except he was intelligent enough to know he would be the obvious suspect and have no where to go after the killing, they are lucky in that respect although sadly for everyone involved I'm sure no one feels very lucky.
Thanks Dr Grande, you deliver a difficult subject matter in a very respectful way, I know that seeing many of these cases can be difficult for someone like you as well.
Leave NJ alone lmao.
The dad punished behaviors properly, and tried to help via counselors and police. There was something wrong with this kid.
It sounds like he spent his free time brooding.
When a person is alone with their destructive thoughts long enough, something is bound to happen.
He might have committed the crimes because he wanted a thrill or out of boredom.
I think he truly thought he was insane. I remember being a mentally ill sixteen year old. You feel nuts, like you’re the only person in the world who can understand your torment. Then you get on depression meds and get through puberty and suddenly things seem a lot more manageable.
Tragedy born out of seed of deep resentments. If one wanted to negate life he does it to the most innocent ones.
Whocares why as long as there is proof he did … what difference does knowing make? Sadly it won’t bring anyone back to life.
In his poem about the end of the world, where he said it didn’t involve God but rather the man himself. Plus him being depressed and being interested in religion, and the struggle between good & evil, is a good indication of demonic possession. If you don’t believe in God and Satan good. Keep thinking that..
Why was he all those thinks ..what if he had a brain tumeur ..
The unverified and mocked science of physiognomy states that people who have "forward facing ears are cruel and rapacious," yet empirically, there does appear to be a connection, i.e., MMA Fighters, Jughead is a nickname for Marines. Very common in news stories involving violent suspects. I wonder if these people had had selective surgery and had their ears placed closer to their head if their behavior would change. Now that this seed has been planted, you can take note yourself. I see this characteristic often. Best case scenario is they like to tease and mock people, but usually can't take it.
What's the clinical reason that causing harm/pain is so appealing to psychopaths? Is it an outward expression of inner rage?
The reason that Alec committed those murders was because his parents didn’t raise him properly. He wasn’t properly disciplined. So in effect his parents are mainly to blame.
So sad!!! Thank you for all your hard work Dr.Grande!!!
A lot of nut cases seem to be in Pennsylvania
I knew a guy who had a similar affliction. I believe it is genetic and you can see it in their face. The faint hint of Mongoloid features around the eyes. The aversion to chewing sounds people make. Writing journals about religious or philosophical notions. Performs well in school. Very few friends. Believes mankind has become corrupt and those who do not follow a natural path should be purged. Childhood behavior was bizarre enough that his parents were able to have him committed to a psych institution and be given electro-shock treatment. This guy did not kill anyone but instead drank himself to death.
Love all your vids, but you’ve got some issues with NJ lol! Just speculating.
Psychopaths never grow up and there is no cure..bullied in early life or not. Sad. And yo doc, I was raised in the most beautiful town in the world, in N. New Jersey!!
It seems common that murderers will not share their motive for murder/killing. It is also common that killers who are convicted will not tell anyone where their victim's body was put/buried.
I wish these "psychics" would get jail time or at least be fined for wasting polices' time.
Fits in perfectly with the world today
His Dad was useless and the wife got his balls in her purse lol
His dad was useless
well, he's feeling lots of something down below us now!
PA is just crazy
